Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Set to Arrive on PC in January 2025

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to launch on PC on January 30, 2025, as announced by Sony on Friday. The action-adventure superhero game debuted exclusively on PlayStation 5 in 2023 and is a sequel to 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and 2020’s Miles Morales, both of which are already available on PC.

The announcement was made at New York Comic Con, where developer Insomniac Games revealed that Nixxes Software would handle the PC port, continuing their collaboration from previous Spider-Man titles and other PlayStation exclusives. The PC version will feature enhanced capabilities tailored to the platform, including improved ray-tracing options, though detailed specifications and feature lists will be shared closer to the release date.

Mike Fitzgerald, Core Technology Director at Insomniac, expressed excitement about the new audience who will experience the game using keyboard and mouse controls, ultra widescreen support, and various graphical options. While the PC edition will include all post-launch updates, Insomniac confirmed that there won’t be additional story content for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

The game will be available in two editions on PC: the Standard Edition, which includes the complete game and all recent updates featuring 12 new suits, a New Game+ mode, ultimate levels, and various gameplay enhancements, and the Digital Deluxe Edition, which offers everything in the Standard Edition plus five exclusive suits for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, early unlocks for specific suits and gadgets, and additional skill points and photo mode items.

Originally released on October 20, 2023, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 follows the intertwined stories of Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they confront a new threat to New York City. The game boasts an expanded open world, including two new boroughs, new traversal methods, and a lineup of iconic Spider-Man villains. Players can now wishlist the PC version on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
